Knowledge is Power!

Our team continues to exercise our brains, and we're getting stronger. This morning, we worked on reviewing our first Math benchmark tests. We worked through the test item by item, justifying each answer through discussion and work on the board. It was a great review and we wrote all over our tests with hints and clues that would help us to remember procedures for solutions. Finally, we carefully examined our open-ended items and discussed what it would take to earn the total four points for a desired answer. In short, we cleared away any cobwebs, and helped to reinforce concepts we've studied.

We reviewed our comma rules and continued to apply them in Language Arts. New vocabulary words are becoming much more familiar and we enjoyed our story The Day of the Turtle by Michael Morpurgo. We enjoyed looking for the many examples of imagery that were used.

Today was our learning station day, as well. We visited various stations, working in cooperative groups to sharpen our skills. It was a very productive day!
