The Ventriloquist's Message!
Our student body had the pleasure of being entertained by a comic ventriloquist named Joe Gandelman today! He visited our school with all his friends to send a special message about drugs and how we need to listen to our special 'inner voice' that tells us when something is right or not right for us. We truly enjoyed watching him perform, and he found ways to get us involved in his message. It is a special week, and it's nice to be reminded of how we should respect ourselves and make good decisions. Today was blue and gold day! Tomorrow, show your unity by wearing your favorite team jersey.
In Language Arts, we took our first benchmark test. The benchmark will measure our mastery of skills thus far. It helps to determine what skills still need attention.
In Math, we concluded Chapter 1 by learning to check our word problems. We soon will have a review of the whole chapter. Do you remember place value? Rounding? Oh, no! Let's start reviewing!
In was Garbage Day in Science! The students played eraser basketball to review for their test on the Three Types of Rocks. Both games were very close. Chyna tied up the teams in room 202 with a beautiful three-pointer! Remember to study an example of each type of rock for the test.
Homework:
Language Arts - Read the rest of Bud, Not Buddy. Complete your role, and be ready for Thursday.
Science - Study for the Three Types of Rock Test
Math - Complete your algebra crossword puzzle number 22, and complete 5-10 on page 53
