Good Day...Sunshine!

The bright sunshine does so much for our moods and attitudes! Hopefully, it affected our thinking as well.

Language Arts groups took a test on irregular plurals in Spelling. We practiced the words in group games yesterday, but we were rusty on a few. Hopefully, we were able to nail them on the test, with additional practice last night. Group 202 finished reading the story and had a discussion with Mrs. Mac. Group 204 took their test on Born Worker.

Sequential order was our topic for Writing (organization) today. We worked on writing directions in groups to give to a new student in our class. Each group gave a set of sequential directions to a place in the building from our classroom. Some were very clear! Others, would have had our new student standing and scratching his head.

Math classes reviewed Greatest Common Factor and Lowest Common Multiple. Mrs. Haddox showed us another way to find the GCF using a goal post. She was pleasantly pleased with our remembrance of how to find both! We also reviewed Mean, Median, Mode, and Range. Practicing using the calculators, we found the answers using some pretty large numbers! Remember to continue to show examples on the PSSA vocabulary worksheet and to study your PSSA folder 15 minutes each night. Tomorrow we will review exponents, divisibility, and number properties.
